Public Beach Access on St. Pete Beach
The City of St. Pete Beach provides plenty of public beach access. If you are staying in a hotel right on
the beach, or even across the street from the beach, access to the beach is no problem.
If you decide to drive to visit another beach nearby, or if you are just visiting for the
day, you need to know where to park (legally) and how to get yourself onto the sand. Only Fort Desoto has
free parking for cars. For the rest, bring dollar bills, quarters, or a credit card. Better yet, bring all
three, since the parking meters don't always work properly.
Most visitors to St. Pete Beach, even those staying right on the beach, want to spend some
time exploring the beaches of Fort Desoto, Shell Key, Egmont Key, and Pass-A-Grille. To make sure
you don't miss out, check out all the beaches listed below.
