This Gulf beach public access is squeezed between the Dolphin Beach Resort on the north side, and a
private condominium on the south side. Four wooden dune walkovers provide access to the white sandy beach. The sand
is soft and white and the water is shallow and great for swimming.
Directly across the street is the Dolphin Village Shopping Center which has a Publix supermarket with a deli and
fresh sushi. The St. Pete Municipal Beach access is also within walking distance of numerous restaurants, although
in the hot and humid months of June, July, August, and September, you might think that distances greater
than 100 feet are too far to walk.

Above: the parking lot usually isn't crowded on weekdays.

Above: solar-powered electronic parking meters welcome you to the beach.

Above: if you forgot your beach chair and umbrella, you can always rent them.

Above is a view of St. Pete beach about a quarter-mile north of the St. Pete Municipal Beach. It's
a long crescent shaped beach with quite a few beachfront hotels and resorts. There is plenty of beach here. In fact
there is over 4 miles of beach and there is nothing to stop you from walking or jogging it all. It's really
beautiful to walk or jog the beach early in the morning or around sunset.
